Arbor Aeration is a specialist tree healthcare company. We offer a full and comprehensive tree healthcare service right across the UK.

Arbor Aeration was set-up by husband and wife team Lee and Alison Winger in 2006. Lee has a background in tree surgery contracting and consultancy, stretching over 20 years. Lee has formal arboricultural qualifications as well as years of hands on contracting experience, and most importantly Lee has a sincere love of trees. Alison has a Diploma in office procedures and has worked as a secretary and PA for the last 20 years, together Lee and Alison make up a very professional team.

Why was Arbor Aeration formed? Well as a contracting tree surgeon it didn’t take long for Lee to realise that the biggest problem facing the health of our urban trees was simple, compacted soils! Trees simply cannot thrive in compacted soils, tree roots need oxygen, moisture, drainage and nutrients it’s as simple as that. Without these basic elements trees become stressed, diseased and eventually die. Compaction within the tree root zone can be caused by all manner of things such as heavy equipment on construction sites, repeated pedestrian traffic on foot paths and in gardens etc, the list is endless.

Until recently there wasn’t much we could do about compacted soils, the equipment to de-compact and apply specialist nutrients simply wasn’t available, all we could do was sit and watch our beautiful urban trees decline and die. Arbor Aeration scoured the globe for reliable de-compaction and specialist tree fertilising equipment.  We now have a vast range of tree healthcare equipment to suit all manner of projects and budgets.
